About Unlocking Life's Code

"Genome: Unlocking Life's Code" is a collaboration between the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) and the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History.

The exhibit's 2013 opening coincided with two major genomics milestones. It marked 60 years since Watson and Crick's first 1953 report of the DNA double-helix and 10 years since the 2003 completion of the Human Genome Project.

About

After its debut at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, D.C., the exhibition was disassembled and transported to museums and science centers across North America.
