The National Human Genome Research Institute supports research to study the human genome and its role in health and disease, and to examine the ethical, legal, and social implications of genomics.

The National Museum of Natural History is the world’s most visited natural history museum. Its enormous collections now include a frozen tissue bank that preserves DNA samples from a diversity of life.
